Ivan Rudolf of Črni Vrh has been a passionate collector since his early days, so there is no wonder that in 2008 he opened a private museum in his house. His collection boasts over 2,000 items originating from the period of World War I. The items were found not only on the Črni Vrh plateau but also on the wider area of the Isonzo Front.
One of the items that stands out is the exhibit of the narrow-gauge railway “Feldban” together with the tracks. A true historical gem is also the switchgear for the narrow-gauge railway.
The exhibition also features a petrol engine that was used to pull small wagons. Among other important items is also a well-preserved wheel with a part of the wire of a military telpher. Another interesting item is a transportable Mass kit which belonged to an Italian army chaplain. The kit consists of a suitcase, an improvised altar, Mass books, a ciborium, etc. The kit was stored for many years in the Črni Vrh parish house.
Among the exhibited items we also find different firearms and cold weapons, along with other military equipment. The visitor can also see a collection of photographs that were taken between 1914 and 1918.
