On a plain, on the left bank of the Soča river in Plave, the Italian Army set up two larger army camps during the Isonzo Front.  They were used for the needs of the soldiers who tried to conquer Mt. Prižnica and those who fought on the slopes of Mt. Kuk and at the village of Zagora. Next to the lower camp, called Zagora, there was also a military cemetery. In its vicinity, a lovely chapel was built in the middle of December 1916, dedicated to St. Aloysius. His statue stood in a niche above the main altar. In the months that followed, the interior of the chapel was adorned with rich wall paintings. Left of the altar, a scene with Italian soldiers raising the Italian tricolour on Mt. Prižnica and on the right, the Italian infantry that runs into attack over a pontoon bridge at Plave towards Mt. Prižnica are painted. The decaying chapel was renovated in 2014 preserving its initial image.
