The ossuary is located within the civil cemetery of San Vito in Udine. Buried in this cemetery are 832 Austro-Hungarian soldiers. The memorial is in a shape of a large stone cube bearing a plaque with a bilingual inscription, in German and Italian; on the top of the cube stands a two-metre-high cross of white stone.

Park your car at Via Giovanni Martini and enter the civil cemetery of San Vito. The ossuary stands by the north side of the perimeter wall.
