In the centre of a small hamlet of Klanec pri Komnu stands a nicely renovated monument, built by one of the Hungarian Royal Landsturm Mountain Brigades. The writing over the crowned Hungarian coat of arms can hardly be seen so it is not sure if the 16th or the 19th brigade built it. These two brigades fought together and formed the 61st Infantry Division which fought on the Doberdò Plateau under the command of Field Marshal Lieutenant Artur Winkler between July 1915 and May 1916.  The 16th Hungarian Royal Landsturm Mountain Brigade consisted of three battalions of the 17th Hungarian Royal Landsturm Infantry Regiment and two battalions of the 29th Hungarian Royal Landsturm Infantry Regiment; the 19th Hungarian Royal Landsturm Mountain Brigade, on the other hand, consisted of the III/1, II/3, I/4, I/6, II/12 and IV/19 battalions of the Hungarian Royal Landsturm Infantry Regiments.
