The mighty fortress above the gorge of the Koritnica river, one of the most visited cultural attractions in the Soča Valley, is an important monument of defence against Turkish invasions, Napoleonʼs army and attacks in the First World War.
The guided tour includes a tour of the Kluže Fortress, a visit of the tunnel made for the mechanization of the dam, at the end of which there is a plateau with a view of the Koritnica riverbed, and a visit to the lower part of the riverbed.
