The military cemetery of the Austro-Hungarian soldiers fallen in World War I lies behind the little church of St. Joseph and the civil cemetery at Soča village. On the slope above the cemetery a large cross made of stones is dedicated to the fallen soldiers, with a grenade fixed on a rock above it. The original Austro-Hungarian hospital cemetery was extended after the war. More than 1,400 soldiers and POWs are buried in it.
