The Archaeological Museum has its premises in the palace Palazzo dei Provveditori Veneti in Cividale del Friuli/Čedad. The town and its treasures have been part of the UNESCO World Heritage since 2011. The exhibition of the museum presents in a traditional way the finds from the Roman, early Christian, early Medieval, Romanesque and Gothic ages. The Lombard exhibition presents very important finds from the 6th and 7th centuries. Especially valuable is the collection of 56 Lombard golden coins, some of which are very rare.
