The building of the Jewish Community of Trieste Museum ‘Carlo e Vera Wagner’ used to be a Jewish hospital (17th and 18th century) and, during World War II, the Jewish Agency for Israel that helped refugees to escape from the Nazis either to Palestine or America.
The museum presents a large Judaica collection, a small synagogue, historical presentation over the centuries, Trieste deportees and cultural personalities.
