The over 700 years old church of St. John the Babtist at Ribčev Laz is located in the immediate vicinity of Lake Bohinj, its drain river Jezernica and the bridge Janezov most. It is one of the most beautiful examples of Slovenian medieval architecture and wall painting. Inside and outside are some of the oldest frescoes in Slovenia. There are three wooden altars in the church and a replica of the wooden head of St. John the Baptist.
