The church of St. Ignazio, located on the Piazza della Vittoria square in Gorizia/Gorica, was built in the 17th and 18th centuries by the Jesuits. The façade is a work by Christoph Tausch. In the niches above the three entrances there is a saint in each of them. The central one is St. Ignazio, to the left is St. Joseph and to the right St. John the Baptist. The two bell towers are topped by bronze “onion” domes. The church is a single-nave structure and has three chapels with Baroque altars.
