WW1 Graves at Szeged Downtown Cemetery

World War I Remains

The Szeged Downtown Cemetery is the final resting place of many soldiers who died due to wounds and illness in the town hospital. Hungarian and foreign soldiers (Italians, Russians, Serbians and Romanians) were buried according to their religion. In the 1970s, a memorial was built. The cemetery is open to the public.
The graves are maintained by the city of Szeged.
