This trapezoidal cemetery is enclosed by a stone and a wooden fence with a helmet-topped gate. A sarcophagus-shaped monument faces the entrance. This is the last resting place of 912 Austro-Hungarian, 65 German and 227 Russian soldiers who fell in 1915, notably during the Battle of Gorlice. Grave sections, arranged by nationality and regiment, are connected by winding paths, stone stairs, terraces, and galleries. A striking wooden chapel, designed by Dušan Jurkovič in 1917, once stood here.
The municipality actively promotes this important WW1 heritage site.
