War Cemetery Becherov

This war cemetery is a solemn and reflective space, honoring the soldiers who lost their lives in the surrounding area during World War I. The War cemetery in Becherov is located on the edge of a public cemetery. There are 76 Austro-Hungarian and 35 Russian soldiers buried here, who lost their lives in 1914 and 1915. Since 2018 the cemetery is listed as “a national cultural monument”.
The cemetery is well-maintained and accessible, with clear signposts and pathways. Restoration work has ensured that the graves and memorials are in good condition, preserving the site’s historical significance.
