This mountain refuge, once a vital supply point for troops stationed in the area, now serves as a base for hikers exploring the surrounding mountains. The refuge offers a unique opportunity to learn about the logistical challenges of maintaining a military presence in such a remote and challenging environment.
The access the mountain, some some hiking is required. The refuge is generally open to the public and provides basic amenities for visitors. Restoration work has focused on preserving the historical character of the building while ensuring its suitability for modern use.
