The Caserma Monte delle Scale is a World War I military building, built to connect two different peaks on the Monte Scale. It is a testimony of the presence of the Italian Army during the war years. It is possible to enter the caserma and, walking through a short tunnel, reach the other side of the mountain.
The caserma is always reachable and is located on a hiking trail. It was restored a few years ago.
