On Saturday, 26 September from 8:00 a.m until 4:00 p.m., you are invited to take a walk around Mengore, where you will encounter soldiers dressed in various uniforms from the First World War. You will see different tools, weapons, medical equipment and other objects from that period.
At 3:00 p.m. guided tour with the Walk of Peace guide (Price: 10 eur/person)
At 6:00 p.m., you can enjoy a performance by a local singing group in the camp.
On Sunday, 27 September from 8:00 a.m until 1:00 p.m., the reenactment of military life in the caverns, the camp and at locations with remains of the Isonzo Front will continue.
At 1:00 p.m., a Mass for the fallen and a wreath-laying ceremony will be held at the former cemetery on Mengore. The Mass will be accompanied by a performance by the men’s choir Dragonarji Rudolfa Maistra from Unec near Cerknica.
The event will bring together members of associations and individuals from Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Italy and Slovenia.
The walking route follows the Walk of Peace trail at Mengore and is easy to walk.
