The Krn–Pohod spomina 1918–2025 (Krn–Memorial Hike 1918–2025) organizing committee and the Kobarid Museum, together with other co-organizers, invite you to the 24th memorial hike to Lake Krn and a ceremony in honor of all soldiers who fell on the Isonzo Front on the anniversary of the end of World War I. This year’s event is also linked to the 110th anniversary of the start of the Isonzo Front.
The main ceremony will take place on Saturday, 8 November 2025, at 12:00 (noon) at Lake Krn and at 1:30 p.m. at the Hungarian Cross. The hike will start from Lepena, and if conditions are good and safe, also from Bohinj and Tolmin.
The hut at the Krn Lakes will be open during the commemorative event from Friday, November 7, to Sunday, November 9. For overnight accommodation, we recommend making a reservation at +386 5 8280 300 or krn@sps.eco. The hut Dom Dr. Klementa Juga in Lepena will also be open.
We would like to remind all hikers that the days are very short in November and that winter conditions may already prevail in the mountains, so please check the conditions on the trail before setting out.
