Nazario se je rodil v Kopru\/Capodistria, ki je bil pod Avstro-Ogrsko. Kljub temu se je vedno boril za to, da bi Istra, ki je bila neko\u010d pod Bene\u0161ko republiko, postala del Kraljevine Italije. Ob izbruhu prve svetovne vojne se je <strong>prostovoljno javil za slu\u017eenje v italijanski mornarici<\/strong>. Leta 1916 je med diverzantsko akcijo njegov \u010doln tr\u010dil v skalo. Bil je zaprt in kmalu prepoznan kot izdajalec Avstro-Ogrske. <strong>V Pulju<\/strong> je <strong>bil<\/strong> <strong>obsojen na smrt<\/strong>.<br \/>\nSkupaj z Guglielmom Oberdanom in Cesarejem Battistijem je omenjen v domoljubni pesmi <em>La Leggenda del Piave<\/em> (Legenda o Piavi).
