Ob izbruhu vojne so se nekateri prebivalci prostovoljno javili za slu\u017eenje v italijanski vojski, saj so bili mnenja, da bi morala ta de\u017eela pripadati Kraljevini Italiji. Drugi so se pridru\u017eili avstro-ogrski vojski. V spomin na vojake Gradi\u0161\u010da, ki so se borili bodisi na eni ali drugi strani, stojita v parku med ulicama Viale Regina Elena in Via Gorizia <strong>dva spomenika<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<strong>Spomenik \u2012 oltar (Ara caduti) je posve\u010den vojakom<\/strong>, ki so se <strong>borili na italijanski strani<\/strong>.
