Pala\u010de, ki ga obdajajo, mu dajejo po\u00adseben pe\u010dat, a tudi sam trg, ki je odprt proti morju, je edinstven, tako podnevi kot pono\u010di, ko ga osvetljuje na desetine belih in modrih lu\u010di. Trg je zgodovinsko mo\u010dno vezan na prvo svetovno vojno, za\u010den\u0161i s svojim imenom. <strong>V \u010dasu habsbur\u0161ke monarhije se je imenoval Piazza Grande (Veliki trg).<\/strong> Takrat je del, ki je bli\u017eje morju, prekrival <strong>park<\/strong>. Novembra <strong>1918<\/strong> so <strong>trg preimenovali v Piazza Unit\u00e0 d\u2019Italia, da bi proslavili prehod mesta pod Kraljevino Italijo<\/strong>.
