Ogled muzeja vam omogo\u010da razumeti pomen bohinjskega pastirstva in plan\u0161arstva kot na\u010din \u017eivljenja in sobivanja z naravo v visokogorskem svetu. Za\u010detki plan\u0161arstva segajo v 13. stoletje. Z njim povezano sirarstvo je skozi zgodovino predstavljalo temelj kmetijstva v Bohinju. Muzej, ki je bil odprt leta 1971 in nato leta 1990 vsebinsko preurejen in dopolnjen, se nahaja v opu\u0161\u010deni va\u0161ki sirarni, kjer je ohranjena prvotna sirarska delavnica. Na ogled je tudi lesen plan\u0161arski stan z notranjo opremo s planine Zajamniki iz leta 1849.
