Le\u017eijo <strong>v bli\u017eini Trbi\u017ea\/Tarvisio\/Tarvis<\/strong>, nedale\u010d od dr\u017eavne meje med Italijo in Slovenijo. <strong>Obe jezeri pod mangartskim pogorjem in Ponco\/Ponza<\/strong>, povezani z nezahtevnimi potmi, sta <strong>ledeni\u0161kega izvora<\/strong>, torej sta nastali med umikanjem ledenikov (pred pribli\u017eno 15.000\u201316.000 leti). Zaradi lokalne klime je obmo\u010dje Belope\u0161kih jezer lep primer <strong>\u201fobrnjenih\u201d rastlinskih pasov<\/strong>.<br \/>\nOkolica jezer ponuja razli\u010dno dolge sprehode.
