Vrh \u0160pika so italijanski vojaki spremenili v opori\u0161\u010de, iz katerega so imeli pregled nad dostopi iz Nadi\u0161kih dolin\/Valli del Natisone v smeri \u010cedada\/Cividale del Friuli in naprej proti Furlanski ni\u017eini. Dobro utrjeni polo\u017eaji so bili uporabljeni samo v dvanajsti so\u0161ki bitki.
