Avstro-ogrska vojska je na njenem vrhu imela name\u0161\u010den <strong>\u017earomet<\/strong>, ki so ga vojaki dvigovali po posebnih tra\u010dnicah in so ga po kon\u010dani uporabi lahko hitro vrnili v varno zavetje pod zemljo. Mo\u010dan svetlobni snop je bil za Italijane zelo mote\u010d, saj jim niti pono\u010di ni dovoljeval svobodnega gibanja. <strong>Vrh Pe\u010dine so Italijani zasedli v deveti so\u0161ki ofenzivi<\/strong> <strong>1. novembra 1916 in opazovalnico preuredili za svoje potrebe.
