Med vojno tu niso zgradili jarkov, utrdb ali drugih voja\u0161kih objektov, temve\u010d so vzpostavili infrastrukturo za usposabljanje vojakov. Ime parka se nana\u0161a na 97. cesarsko-kraljevi avstro-ogrski polk. Vpoklicani v ta polk so se tukaj usposabljali v bojnih tehnikah in uporabi oro\u017eja. Muzej na prostem, ki so ga odprli leta 2017, se nahaja v Bosco Fornace.
