{"id":9313,"date":"2021-05-17T08:49:34","date_gmt":"2021-05-17T08:49:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thewalkofpeace.com\/location\/valska-jama-jerihovca-cave\/"},"modified":"2025-10-23T13:37:01","modified_gmt":"2025-10-23T13:37:01","slug":"valska-jama-jerihovca-cave","status":"publish","type":"location","link":"https:\/\/www.thewalkofpeace.com\/it\/locations\/valska-jama-jerihovca-cave\/","title":{"rendered":"Grotta \u201cValska jama\u201d (Jerihovca)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>La grotta naturale carsica \u2012 <strong>Valska jama (Jerihovca) <\/strong>(Grotta dei lavandini) \u2012 si trova <strong>nei pressi dell\u2019abitato Vale nel Komenski Kras (Carso di Comeno)<\/strong>. <strong>La grotta di circa 210 metri di lunghezza durante il fronte dell\u2019Isonzo venne usata dai militari austro-ungarici come riparo e ospedale militare da campo o infermeria (Feldspital). Poteva accogliere attorno ai 1500<\/strong> <strong>soldati<\/strong>. Alla grotta conducono scale di pietra. Al suo interno oggi troviamo le fondamenta in cemento di baracche in legno dove c\u2019erano letti a castello o magazzini. Verso la fine la grotta si ristringe. Sul fondo rimangono conservati una fila di lavandini in cemento e un canale di scolo. Interessante \u00e8 anche un graffito su una stalattite \u2012 la sigla <em>SLF <\/em>o <em>SLP \u2012 <\/em>di cui significato resta tutt\u2019ora inspiegato. La grotta fu anche dotata di impianto elettrico. Sono ancora ben visibili i sostegni in ferro per cavi elettrici. L\u2019energia elettrica era prodotta da un generatore a benzina, posizionato in una caverna nei pressi dell\u2019ingresso alla grotta.
