Giace sulla linea di passaggio dalla pianura friulana alle regioni settentrionali. Il Tonocov grad gioc\u00f2 <strong>il suo ruolo pi\u00f9 importante dal IV al VI secolo<\/strong> <strong>e al tempo delle emigrazioni dei popoli<\/strong>. Alla fine del V secolo sul monte venne costruito un insediamento con pi\u00f9 di venti case e alcune chiese.
