Nel <strong>586 d.C.<\/strong> divenne <strong>capitale<\/strong> del primo Ducato <strong>Longobardo<\/strong> in Italia e fu successivamente <strong>residenza dei Patriarchi di Aquileia<\/strong>. Dopo 350 anni sotto il dominio della <strong>Repubblica di Venezia <\/strong>pass\u00f2 sotto il <strong>Regno d<\/strong>\u2019<strong>Italia<\/strong>.
