Realizzato su due isolotti concentrici, \u00e8 stato iniziato dagli Austriaci nel 1805 e terminato dai Francesi tra il 1809 e il 1814. Si tratta del <strong>primo e pi\u00f9 esteso degli 11 forti che compongono il campo trincerato di Mestre<\/strong>. Sul lato nord-orientale del perimetro del Forte, verso l\u2019esterno, si appoggia una batteria munita di una sequenza di piccole postazioni di tiro, costruita <em>ex novo<\/em> proprio in occasione della Grande Guerra.
