{"id":9136,"date":"2021-05-17T08:49:38","date_gmt":"2021-05-17T08:49:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thewalkofpeace.com\/location\/battery-rocchetta-fort-alberoni\/"},"modified":"2022-03-22T12:03:35","modified_gmt":"2022-03-22T12:03:35","slug":"battery-rocchetta-fort-alberoni","status":"publish","type":"location","link":"https:\/\/www.thewalkofpeace.com\/it\/locations\/battery-rocchetta-fort-alberoni\/","title":{"rendered":"Batteria Rocchetta \u2013 Forte Alberoni"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Costruita dagli <strong>Austriaci tra il 1849 e il 1850<\/strong> <strong>al Lido di Venezia<\/strong>, in localit\u00e0 Alberoni, la <strong>Batteria Rocchetta<\/strong> \u00e8 aperta, a faccia dritta, con lati corti e con un fossato d\u2019acqua. Entrambi i fronti hanno un bastione semplice traverso, disposto per artiglieria. La batteria <strong>controllava<\/strong> <strong>la bocca di porto di Malamocco<\/strong>, mentre i fianchi tenevano sotto tiro l\u2019interno della bocca e controllavano <strong>la foce del<\/strong> <strong>canale di San Pietro<\/strong>. Poco lontano sorge il <strong>Forte Alberoni<\/strong>, un poligono a base quadrangolare, con i lati che formano angoli di circa 90\u00b0, per adattarsi all\u2019andamento del terreno. Un fossato circonda il forte e lo protegge da eventuali assedi. Il tracciato presenta due fronti bastionati, rivolti rispettivamente verso il litorale e la laguna, e costruiti sui due vertici del poligono, ai quali viene aggiunto un terzo fronte, verso il porto.
