Vi sono sepolti i soldati austro-ungarici morti nel vicino ospedale militare a Ren\u010de (Ranziano). Dai dati delle autorit\u00e0 italiane, che negli anni Trenta del XX secolo si occuparono dello scavo dei cimiteri militari, risulta che <strong>qui sono sepolti 1600 soldati<\/strong>. Sul lato ovest del cimitero sono fissate al muro delle croci funebri, resti della sistemazione dei cimiteri di guerra compiuta dalle autorit\u00e0 italiane negli anni Venti e Trenta del XX secolo. Sul monumento centrale, dedicato ai caduti, c\u2019\u00e8 la scritta:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIhr Helden der Isonzowacht, Schlaft ruhig bis im Strahlenlichte Der grosse Tag erwacht \u2013 was ihr vollbracht. Verk\u00fcndet ewig die Geschichte.\u201d (Eroi della vedetta d\u2019Isonzo, riposate in pace sino a che nella scintillante luce non si desti il grande giorno di ci\u00f2 che avete raggiunto.
