Di questo testimonia anche il monumento centrale a forma di piramide sul quale c\u2019\u00e8 l\u2019indicazione del Reggimento IR76 e due scritte, la prima in lingua ungherese \u201cSzeretet\u00fcnk h\u00e1l\u00e1nk jel\u00e9\u00fcl\u201d (In segno del nostro amore e della nostra gratitudine) e la seconda tedesca \u201cEuch Ihr Helden in Dankbarkeit\u201d (A voi eroi come ringraziamento). La maggior parte dei soldati cadde tra la Decima e l\u2019Undicesima Battaglia dell\u00b4Isonzo, che si combatt\u00e9 nelle vicinanze (le colline di Vrtojba-Bilje). Il primo cimitero realizzato durante la guerra era pi\u00f9 piccolo, dopo la guerra le autorit\u00e0 italiane vi sotterrarrono anche le spoglie provenienti da altri cimiteri minori dei dintorni.
