Sulla porta d\u2019entrata c\u2019\u00e8 la scritta <em>Im Leben und im Tode vereint<\/em> (Uniti nella vita e nella morte). Nel cimitero sono <strong>sepolti 14.550 soldati austro-ungarici <\/strong>caduti in quest\u2019area. Per arrivare al grande monumento funebre dove riposano 7000 soldati ignoti si percorre un lungo viale di cipressi. Sul monumento funebre c\u2019\u00e8 una scritta in onore dei soldati caduti per la patria. Tutto attorno sono collocate le tombe dei soldati identificati, a ricordo dei quali ci sono 2550 piccole lapidi in cemento.
