Giusto a Trieste\/Trst<\/strong> si erge un <strong>monumento <\/strong>(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.turismofvg.it\/ara-della-terza-armata-a-trieste\"><strong>Ara della Ter\u00adza Armata<\/strong><\/a>) <strong>dedicato alla Terza Armata italiana<\/strong> comandata da Emanuele Filiberto Duca d\u2019Aosta. Il monumento fu <strong>inaugurato<\/strong> uffi\u00adcialmente <strong>nel 1929<\/strong> alla presenza dello stesso duca. Realizzato <strong>in pietra bianca<\/strong>, opera dell\u2019<strong>architetto Carlo Polli<\/strong>, si trova su un basamento ed ha scolpite varie scritte: dall\u2019epigrafe <em>Le vittoriose armi qui consacr\u00f2 la III Armata al comando di Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia<\/em> ai nomi incisi dei fiumi Isonzo (So\u010da) e Piave, lungo i quali la Terza Armata combatt\u00e9 durante la Grande Guerra.
