{"id":8920,"date":"2021-05-17T08:49:42","date_gmt":"2021-05-17T08:49:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thewalkofpeace.com\/location\/the-central-monument-at-the-former-italian-cemetery\/"},"modified":"2023-07-12T15:17:56","modified_gmt":"2023-07-12T15:17:56","slug":"the-central-monument-at-the-former-italian-cemetery","status":"publish","type":"location","link":"https:\/\/www.thewalkofpeace.com\/it\/locations\/the-central-monument-at-the-former-italian-cemetery\/","title":{"rendered":"Monumento nell\u2019ex cimitero militare italiano"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>L\u2019ex cimitero militare italiano di Av\u010de (Auzza) <\/strong>fu costruito durante l\u2019Undicesima Battaglia dell\u2019Isonzo (in agosto e settembre 1917), dal 1919 al 1921 il cimitero fu ampliato e risistemato. Fu denominato con il nome del <strong>capitano Ottavio Caiazzo, <\/strong>il quale mor\u00ec negli ultimi giorni dell\u2019ottobre nel 1917. Nel cimitero <strong>furono sepolti 2909 soldati italiani<\/strong>, di cui 1021 l\u2019identit\u00e0 fu nota, resta ignota invece l\u2019identit\u00e0 di 1888 soldati.
