Il 123\u00b0 reggimento della Brigata Chieti occup\u00f2 il monte durante la Sesta Battaglia dell\u2019Isonzo (4\u201316 agosto 1916). Gli italiani tra gli anni 1916 e 1917 vi costruirono un rifugio, che chiamarono con il nome del generale italiano <strong>Luigi Cadorna<\/strong>, il quale il 1\u00b0 marzo 1917 visit\u00f2 le postazioni vicine a Quota 208 Sud\/Varda e con ogni probabilit\u00e0 pass\u00f2 la notte proprio sul Colle Nero.
