Il monte <strong>fu occupato dagli italiani nella Nona Battaglia dell\u2019Isonzo<\/strong> <strong>all\u2019inizio del novembre 1916, quando sul Veliki vrh c\u2019erano posizioni austro-ungariche.<\/strong> Entrambi i monti sono coperti di trincee e perforati da caverne e tunnel sotterranei.
