I bombardamenti distrussero completamente l\u2019abitato. Soprattutto in Italia il paese \u00e8 conosciuto per la poesia San Martino del Carso del <strong>poeta Giuseppe Ungaretti<\/strong>. Qu\u00ec \u00e8 inoltre possibile visitare la collezione privata <strong>Ricordi della Grande Guerra<\/strong>. Vi sono esposti vari oggetti ritrovati nell\u2019area di San Martino del Carso\/Martin\u0161\u010dina, del Monte San Michele\/Debela gri\u017ea e nei dintorni.
