Il luogo \u00e8 noto principalmente per la sua attivit\u00e0 mineraria, che a causa della situazione economica della seconda met\u00e0 del XX secolo ristagnava sempre pi\u00f9 fino a quando la miniera <strong>\u00e8 stata definitivamente chiusa alla fine del secolo<\/strong>. Di conseguenza, ci\u00f2 ha portato a una forte riduzione del numero di abitanti di Cave del Predil e dei dintorni.<br \/>\nNell\u2019edificio dell\u2019ex scuola elementare si trova il <a href=\"https:\/\/www.turismofvg.it\/museo-storico-militare-delle-alpi-giulie\"><strong>Museo storico militare delle Alpi Giulie<\/strong><\/a>, che mostra la <strong>storia dalle invasioni dei popoli barbari alla Seconda guerra mondiale nella zona<\/strong>.
