Il <strong>25 ottobre 1917<\/strong> <strong>Erwin Rommel<\/strong> con la sua squadra d\u2019attacco nottetempo aggred\u00ec le postazioni italiane e trascorse la notte nelle immediate vicinanze del 14\u00b0 Reggimento Bersaglieri della 4<sup>a<\/sup> Brigata. Alle prime luci dell\u2019alba attacc\u00f2 le postazioni al di sopra del paese e da qui prosegu\u00ec alla conquista del <strong>Monte Matajur<\/strong>.
