In considerazione della posizione, si trattava di un rifugio del tutto al riparo dagli attacchi nemici, per questo motivo qui fu dislocato anche il comando militare. Il rifugio venne intitolato al generale e capo del comando supremo italiano <strong>Luigi Cadorna<\/strong>.
